In one of the largest studies of an international sample of 2,665 students aged 7-18, Carina Fiedeldey-van Dijk and EQ institute Six Seconds’ team found a strong correlation between students’ Social & Emotional Intelligence scores and their academic achievement, academic retention & pro-social behavior. Similarly, a multi-year pilot program of including ESI training in Indiana University East’s B-school showed considerable growth in students’ performance.
The workshop – Social & Emotional Intelligence for students – is rooted in the researches in neuroscience and psychology, and involves ‘interactive & iterative methodology’ to sensitize school-students/college-students/B-school students towards significance of this set of skills, and equip them with scientific knowledge & applicable techniques to practice it skillfully in life.
